About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Social Work and Human Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coordinating Social Work courses within our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

About the UniSA Justice & Society Unit

Our unit offers a wide range of programs and conducts world-class research in the fields of law, psychology, social work, human services, and social sciences. We are committed to developing new knowledge and multi-disciplinary solutions to society's most pressing issues.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a PhD qualification in an area relevant to social work and professional/industry experience in Social Work. They will also be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and have a demonstrated high quality teaching outcomes with evidence of a strong commitment to continuous improvement of teaching practice and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and coordinate Social Work courses within our undergraduate and postgraduate programs
  • Contribute to the development of new knowledge and multi-disciplinary solutions to society's most pressing issues
  • Supervise higher degree research candidates
  • Establish a program of research in working with children and families
