Design Lead Position

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to oversee the full design delivery for major high voltage substation projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of high voltage substations and proven expertise in EPC environments, as well as strong site delivery understanding.

This role requires exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to integrate multiple engineering disciplines and ensure designs are practical, compliant, and ready for construction.

Key responsibilities include managing scope, cost, and schedule, coordinating and integrating multi-disciplinary design teams, and working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Engineers to achieve best-for-project outcomes.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality HV substation design, contribute to nationally significant HV infrastructure projects, and join a collaborative team delivering complex, high-profile energy projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years or more experience in engineering, design management, or project delivery roles.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to deliver to time, cost, and quality targets.
