High Voltage Substation Design Expert

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your expertise in the design of high voltage substations. If you have a passion for delivering complex engineering projects, then we want to hear from you.

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the full design delivery for major high voltage substation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EPC environments and be able to integrate multiple engineering disciplines.

  • Taking ownership of design delivery, managing scope, cost and schedule
  • Acting as the single point of responsibility for design performance on allocated projects
  • Coordinating and integrating multi disciplinary design teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, control, protection and HV cable or OHL systems
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers to achieve best for project outcomes
  • Resolving technical issues and maintaining design momentum
  • Ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the design lifecycle

Key responsibilities include:

  • 10 years or more experience in engineering, design management or project delivery roles
  • Background in high voltage substations
  • Proven capability in EPC environments and strong site delivery understanding
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills in multi disciplinary teams
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to deliver to time, cost and quality targets

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng)
  • Experience working in a similar role
