This is a permanent role that can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Adelaide with hybrid working arrangements. As a Safety Insights and Data Strategist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Oversight of incidents occurring within our Business Units to identify key risk areas and propose effective mitigation strategies;
  • Supporting operational safety teams in coordinating stakeholder engagement, gathering organisational learnings, and providing post-incident reviews and recommendations;
  • Partnering with operational safety teams to review and improve WHS risk assessments and preventative activities across Business Units;
  • Conducting control assurance reviews, advising on outcomes, and management actions to risk and control owners, including executive team members;
  • Enabling the meeting of due diligence obligations through safety data analysis and reporting on trends or insights, contributing to the identification of emerging risk issues and improvement opportunities;
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of WHS compliance frameworks consistent with the BUPA ANZ risk framework;
  • Collaborating closely with business units to gain an in-depth understanding of their strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and operating context to ensure consideration for WHS obligations and best practices.

We're looking for someone with

  • WHS management experience in a large and geographically dispersed organisation, preferably in a clinical/health environment;
  • Experience in coordinating and conducting interviews and information compilation;
  • Experience supporting the design and delivery of complex programs of work, including initiatives, processes, and tools;
  • Expertise in identifying and managing various WHS hazards, including consultation with frontline staff, risk assessment, and proposing controls;
  • Strong project management, planning, and governance capabilities;
  • A reputation for effective and timely delivery, making things happen at pace;
  • Strong analytical skills to create commercial insights from WHS data and metrics.

Bupa offers a competitive salary package estimated around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
