About the Role

The Data Migration Strategist will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality data is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the delivery project. This includes developing data migration strategies and plans, cleansing data, rectifying data issues, coordinating necessary resources to support data quality activities, and other responsibilities as necessary.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in data cleansing, data migration, or a related role. Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is essential, while experience with Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Data Factory, Kingsway Soft, and SharePoint is desirable.

As a key member of the team, the Data Migration Strategist will work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data cleansing based on target state requirements, translate business requirements into technical specifications for data cleansing and migration, plan and oversee data quality during data migration activities, and coordinate with IT and business departments to ensure successful data migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Cleansing: Lead and execute data cleansing initiatives to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Identify and rectify data quality issues, including duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies. Develop and implement data cleansing strategies and best practices.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for data cleansing based on target state requirements. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data cleansing and migration.
  • Data Migration: Plan and oversee data quality during data migration activities. Coordinate with IT and business departments to ensure successful data migration. Validate and verify migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data cleansing and migration processes. Generate reports and dashboards to monitor data quality and project status.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum (dependent on experience). This salary range has been estimated based on industry standards and taking into account the location of Brisbane CBD.
