Job Title: Business and Legal Affairs Intern

Universal International Studios (UIS), a division of NBCUniversal, is seeking an intern to support the work of its Business & Legal Affairs (BALA) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in legal and business affairs in the television industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the drafting and execution of agreements relating to the development of television projects.
  • Correspond with talent and literary agencies, broadcaster personnel, and other third parties.
  • Assist with production-related clearances and the maintenance of company template agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on behalf of the BALA team.
  • Assist with matters relating to the promotion and distribution of content, including rights information enquiries.
  • Manage the company's Screenrights registrations and related issues.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Completing the final year of tertiary studies in Law, Arts, or Film/Television during 2025.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in legal and business affairs in the television industry.
