Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Contracts Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction contracts related to data center projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. About the Role
As a Construction Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Conducting sourcing activities for General Contractors, Architect Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Cost Management, Project Management, and other various professional services.
• Executing sourcing plans to ensure delivery of approved contract strategies and project objectives, on time and within budget.
• Developing suitable negotiation strategies for the scope.
• Contributing to supplier evaluation and preparing contract award proposals.
• Writing of project contracts on Microsoft contract templates.
• Contract Review and Compliance: Understanding of the contract terms and conditions and ensuring compliance from relevant parties.
• Executing procurement contracting strategies for data center construction projects and/or purchasing opportunities to achieve optimal cost and continuity of supply and services.
• Execute project closeout requirements.
• Change Order Management: Assisting in Change Order negotiations with input from key stakeholders.
• Monitoring and mitigating the impact of change orders to the project, and partners cross-functionally to resolve/escalate accordingly.
• Attending change management meetings and reporting on open change orders as applicable.
• Assisting as the commercial Subject Matter Expert and advising appropriate justification for all change orders.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in contract management, preferably in construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and tools.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Experience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to services, construction, engineering, materials, and equipment installation.

Preferred Requirements
• Hyperscale data center or large building construction experience in an owner or general contractor capacity.
• Broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language associated with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
