Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Pastry Chef to join our team at one of our Sydney-based venues. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry products, including doughs, fillings, cakes, buns, biscuits, and bread. You will work closely with our culinary team to create visually appealing and delicious desserts that meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake pastry products, including doughs, fillings, cakes, buns, biscuits, and bread.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to achieve menu goals and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a quality restaurant, patisserie, cafe, or hotel.
  • Knowledge of pastry production, including baking, shaping, and decorating techniques.
  • Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and dough forming machines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow recipes accurately and weigh ingredients precisely.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
