The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our client's onsite manufacturing leadership team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction on all aspects of HSE, driving development, and ensuring accountability to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert WHS advice and technical support to the business.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for safety and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Design and implement safety programs to drive a culture of safety.
  • Oversee environmental compliance, improvement, and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in a HSE discipline (e.g., Cert IV WHS, Diploma, or technical qualification).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar safety and compliance role, preferably in a manufacturing or technical service environment.
  • Commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the HSE function's role in driving business success.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, emerging issues, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full Australian working rights and based in metropolitan Sydney.
