The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment professional to join our client's onsite manufacturing leadership team. As a key member of the team, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Australian business, driving all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and contribute to the success of a well-established organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide WHS advice and technical support to the business.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for safety and risk management.
- Manage the company's compliance with AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001.
- Initiate and drive safety programs to improve the workplace.
- Oversee environmental compliance, improvement, and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Relevant qualification in a HSE discipline (e.g. Cert IV WHS, Diploma or technical qualification).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar safety and compliance role, preferably in a manufacturing or technical service environment.
- Commercially minded with a big picture understanding of the HSE function's role within an organisation.
- Thorough knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, emerging issues, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Must have full Australian working rights and be based in metropolitan Sydney.
