State Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled State Manager to join our team at EGM Partners. As a key member of our Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales and service teams in SA and driving the delivery of cutting-edge weighing and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase market penetration
- Drive exceptional leadership and mentoring of the sales, service, and administration teams
- Foster strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of projects
We are looking for a sales hunter with a strong desire to step into a leadership role. You will thrive on driving new business while simultaneously leading the branch to growth. This role requires you to actively pursue sales opportunities and provide strategic leadership. You will also have a solid understanding of P&L management and key cost drivers to ensure profitable growth and operational efficiency.
You will possess the following:
- Proven experience working as a State Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role
- Degree qualifications in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams and achieving sales targets
- High level of influencing, leadership, and engagement skills, and the ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully implement change and convey information to a wide range of team members
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Lean manufacturing / 5 S / Six Sigma
- A network of contacts in a like-for-like industry who enjoy working with you
