Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the integration and testing activities for Sky's compression test systems and E2E linear video delivery onto Sky +, Sky Q, and Sky glass platforms.

This includes leading a team to deliver high-quality testing services to platform stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective test management for projects within your portfolio, adopting a flexible approach to testing and providing accurate estimates for work.
  • Responsible for test planning, test design and execution, test environment planning, test reporting, test sign-off and operational handover.
  • Own and coordinate E2E integration test cycles across multiple platforms with internal and external teams to Sky.
  • Identify and implement improvements to test processes and tools to increase test cycle velocity without compromising quality.
  • Communicate effectively with your test team and project teams, keeping them informed of key updates.
  • Work with direct reports to help them set and review personal development plans and agile goals/objectives throughout the year.
Requirements
  • An excellent track record and in-depth knowledge of test management and experience in delivering complex test projects.
  • Strong communication skills, technical skills and domain knowledge of the platform under test.
  • Fast problem-solving capabilities, understanding and conveying technical concepts and issues, and presenting them to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and progress reporting at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of test automation and software industry delivery trends.
  • Highlighting areas of risk and offering solutions to overcome these.
