High-Quality Patient Transport Specialist

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia is seeking a Registered Paramedic/Registered Nurse to join our team in providing patient-centred care and treatment during the transport of patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.

About the Program

Mobile Patient Care (MPC) offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and some areas of New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.

MPC provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital, and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics.

Key Responsibilities

As a Registered Paramedic / Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing thorough patient assessments on-road
  • Providing high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with patients and stakeholders
  • Assessing the effectiveness of interventions in accordance with RFDS MPC guidelines, NEPT regulations, and within scope of practice
  • Working independently and problem-solving within policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Qualifications as a Registered Paramedic or Division 1 Registered Nurse
  • Current AHPRA registration (or pending approval for Paramedics)
  • Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions
  • Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to excellent service
  • Experience in the NEPT sector is desirable but not essential
  • Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Full Drivers Licence, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and right to work in Australia
