Job Summary

The role of Business Information Security Officer involves collaborating with digital and business leaders to identify and manage the risks posed by cyber threat actors.

This position will provide strategic security advice and leadership to agencies, developing tailored cyber strategies and approaches for lines of business aligned with the DCS cyber strategy.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively to lead the development of security delivery plans for agencies and clients, providing leadership and guidance to business functions to ensure security is incorporated early and effectively in programs and initiatives.

This role requires a trusted advisor who can collaborate with other CISO functions to drive participation of business stakeholders in cybersecurity initiatives, identifying business-specific training needs and facilitating sessions to raise awareness and enhance the cyber culture.

About This Role
  • Experience engaging with technology and business leaders to discuss cybersecurity in business terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop or contribute to cyber strategies to meet business needs.
  • At least 5 years' experience in cybersecurity risk, governance, architecture, compliance, and/or technology domains.
  • Excellent engagement and presentation skills are required.
  • A collaborative team player who can work with technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic security advice and leadership to agencies as the CISO Delegate.
  • Develop tailored cyber strategies and approaches for lines of business aligned with the DCS cyber strategy.
  • Lead the development of security delivery plans for agencies and clients.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to business functions to ensure security is incorporated early and effectively in programs and initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and collaborate with other CISO functions to drive participation of business stakeholders in cybersecurity initiatives.
