Job Title:

Bitumen Tanker Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair bitumen tankers to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance on tank systems including burners, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components.
  • Maintain heating systems to keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication repairs, monitor and calibrate temperature and pressure controls.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and transport compliance standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical background with knowledge of hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with burner systems and pipework.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling, especially hot bitumen.
  • Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.
