Job Title: Principal/Senior Solutions Consultant

About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is seeking a highly skilled Principal/Senior Solutions Consultant to drive pre-sales and implementation activities in support of our APAC sales growth and strategy for ETRM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep experience in electricity, carbon, gas, Futures, and FTR markets
  • Strong understanding of front, mid, and back-office functions as it pertains to those markets
  • Engage with business users and management teams to conduct discovery, qualify opportunities, and communicate value to customers
  • Participate in projects as a Principal/Senior Consultant and serve as a domain expert
  • Comfortable working with complex spreadsheets
  • Strong communicator and articulate in conveying complex ideas
  • Certified risk professionals (GARP, FRM) or background in finance would be an advantage
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Requirements

  • Master's degree – Preferably MBA, Finance, or International trade
  • Minimum fifteen years of energy or related industry experience in ETRM solutions, with knowledge of the industry landscape, prospective clients, and business network
  • Excellent English language skills. Knowledge of another Asian language is advantageous
  • Strategic Business Acumen, and resilience in sales pursuits
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed, and dynamic environment
  • Prior work experience with prominent ETRM vendors
  • Willingness to travel throughout Asia Pacific
