Job Title: Mine Operations Director

Are you a seasoned mining engineer looking to take on a leadership role in mine operations? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Mine Operations Director and drive success through strategic planning, effective coordination, and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the mine engineering team to ensure seamless execution of short to long-term life of mine planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of pit and infrastructure designs, ensuring they meet plant specifications and contribute to overall business objectives.
  • Guide and supervise the engineering and survey teams to ensure high-quality work products that support project milestones and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify knowledge gaps within the engineering department and develop targeted training programs to address these needs.
About You:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in mining engineering or a related field.
  • Have unrestricted quarry managers certification (or be willing to obtain it).
  • Possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor diverse teams and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Be proficient in computerized mine planning systems/software and intermediate Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have demonstrated experience in adhering to and implementing safe work practices.
