Job Role

The role of Operations Manager at our organisation involves leading mining operations and team members to ensure safe and productive operations. Key responsibilities include championing our values, coaching and developing team members, conducting pit inspections and field interactions, and ensuring that mining achieves or exceeds performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead mining operations and team members to ensure safe and productive operations.
  • Support team members and maintain a positive culture & environment.
  • Champion our values.
  • Coach and develop team members and take accountability for skills training.
  • Conduct pit inspections and field interactions; complete incident investigations.
Qualifications And Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the mining industry, with the ability to attain a relevant leadership appointment.
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to engage and empower teams.
  • Experience in Autonomous Mining operations is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with a proven commitment to safety.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of efficiency drivers in a large-scale mining operation.
  • Experienced in Frontline management.
