About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Conflict Resolution Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our New Business and Enterprise Risk Department, you will play a critical role in managing conflicts of interest and information barriers globally.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your legal expertise in a strategic, commercial setting and gain valuable insights into our global clients and sectors. With full training provided, no prior conflicts experience is required, making this an ideal role for those looking to transition into an alternative legal career path.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on the resolution of complex legal and commercial conflicts problems and liaise with Partners and staff on conflicts issues and queries;
  • E nsure compliance with global sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering obligations;
  • Review, draft, and advise on conflict provisions in firm engagement letters, firm policies, and other client agreements, including panel arrangements.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual with excellent research, technical, and analytical skills. As a Solicitor (in any area of law) admitted to practice in Australia or another jurisdiction where HSF operates, you will have 2-4 years' post-admission experience and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A strong desire to work outside traditional private practice in an alternative legal career makes you an ideal candidate for this role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team are essential, as well as good commercial awareness.
