Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and capable SSEQ Compliance Advisor to join our team in a key operational role.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of high-risk environments and experience in managing interface risks and maintaining operational readiness.

You will work on-site to ensure compliance with our Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality (SSEQ) requirements, partnering with contractors and internal stakeholders to manage interface risks and maintain operational readiness.

  • Assurance Inspections: Conduct inspections and audits during both day and night shifts to ensure compliance with SSEQ requirements.
  • Contractor Oversight: Monitor contractor compliance with WHS, quality, environmental, and security obligations, providing advice and coaching on risk controls.
  • Participate in risk workshops, toolbox talks, and pre-start briefings to identify and support initiatives for ongoing improvement.
  • Documentation Review: Assess contractor SWMS, Safety and Quality Management Plans, and permits to ensure adherence to Australian Standards, NCC/BCA, and WHS legislation.
  • Coordination & Interface Management: Support coordination between projects, maintenance, and operations, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Post-Curfew Activities: Assist with return-to-service tasks after curfew periods, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Critical Risk Program: Help implement Sydney Airport's Critical Risk Program, including assurance processes, to mitigate potential risks and hazards.
