Senior Risk Assessment Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced risk assessment specialist to lead high-level risk assessments, mentor the team, and guide clients through regulatory and scientific challenges.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver detailed human health and ecological risk assessments for contaminated sites
  • Develop Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) and exposure assessments
  • Interpret toxicological, site, and exposure data to inform health/ecological risks
  • Review or prepare site-specific risk-based criteria
  • Advise on site management strategies
  • Support business development and proposal writing
  • Mentor emerging risk assessors within the team
Required Expertise:
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Toxicology, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or similar field of study
  • At least 8 years of experience in risk assessment roles (consulting or regulator)
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant frameworks, including NEPM, CRC CARE, enHealth, and state-based regulations
  • Experience working on complex industrial or contaminated land sites
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in mentoring others
