About the Role

Fuse Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading business providing innovative services to the entertainment industry. This exciting opportunity allows you to leverage your expertise in designing bespoke mechanical solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement custom machinery designs that meet client specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development within a collaborative team environment.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical designs to clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Drive improvements in design quality and production outputs across the team, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with the team on product updates and bespoke projects, providing input on new product developments and solutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design, with mechatronics experience also considered.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience in Inventor also viewed favorably.
  • Strong background in designing custom machinery, production equipment, cranes, lifts, or small equipment, with experience in winch or hoist design highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and effectively communicate technical designs.
