About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team. With 15-20 years of experience in High & Low Voltage (HV & LV) Design and excellent communication skills, you will be able to engage with diverse stakeholders and lead collaborative teams. Your strong leadership abilities, passion for mentoring junior engineers, and ability to drive engineering project success will make you a valuable asset to our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design industrial electrical substations with a strong knowledge of HV & LV electrical system design, including earthing, protection, power system studies using software, and cable sizing.
  • Lead projects, oversee the development and preparation of engineering documents, specifications, and drawings, ensuring timely completion within budgets.
  • Produce engineering calculations to support design documentation and specify/select electrical equipment, as well as assist in procurement as required.
  • Apply relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS2067, AS/NZS 3008, AS1768, etc.) and statutory regulations in design practices.

Requirements:
  • An Engineers Australia recognised tertiary electrical engineering qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years in High & Low Voltage (HV & LV) Design experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring junior engineers.
  • Current RPEQ/CPEng certification or eligibility to obtain these.
