Tech Lead Full Stack Engineer, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. This is a full-time position based in Sydney, Australia.
As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure software systems using modern technologies such as TypeScript, GraphQL, React, and Node.js.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to ensure that our software meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software development, technical leadership, and team management. You should be proficient in TypeScript, GraphQL, React, and Node.js, and have experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, such as Azure.
This role offers a competitive salary of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Responsibilities:- Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our software meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews to encourage the growth of other engineers.
- Develop testable and observable systems using TDD, Jest, and Playwright.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, technical leadership, and team management.
- Proficient in TypeScript, GraphQL, React, and Node.js.
- Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, such as Azure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
