Lead Product Designer, Lending Systems
At Commonwealth Bank of Australia, we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Designer to join our Unloan team. As a key member of our design team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic design of our lending operations platforms and systems.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, engineering, and marketing, to create and implement design strategies that drive customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the innovation and strategy of services and platforms that underpin our internal user experiences.
- Leverage our delivery partners' latest technology and product roadmaps to ensure we design a service experience that always takes advantage of new available opportunities as they emerge.
- Owning the end-to-end design of our operations platform – from internal user research, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Partnering with the product team to identify user needs, conduct user testing, and incorporate feedback to iteratively improve designs.
- Mentoring other members of the Unloan design team – fostering creativity, delivery excellence, and maintaining design consistency across projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of proven experience in UX design, with a track record of delivering successful digital products or services.
- Strong systems thinking and service design skills.
- Expertise in crafting wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
- Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
