Job Title: Senior Kitchen Professional

We are seeking a full-time Senior Kitchen Professional to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent cooking skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain high standards of food quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the head chef in charge to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Prepare mise en place for all relevant menus, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure consistent high-quality food production, aligned with our hotel's exceptional standards.
  • Verify that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to our established guidelines.
  • Manage inventory effectively, minimizing waste and ordering necessary supplies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS and food safety legislation, ensuring compliance at all times.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a senior kitchen professional in a reputable hotel or restaurant with high culinary standards.
  • Ability to operate a range of kitchen equipment and apply sound cooking techniques.
  • Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent food hygiene and safety knowledge, including safe and accurate knife handling.
  • Knowledge and experience in various cooking methods.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
