Account Executive Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Account Executive to join our team at Edelman. As an entry-level account position, this role will provide the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of client service excellence and Communications Marketing programming.
Responsibilities:- Provide client service administration, including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, and compiling media and competitor coverage.
- Research, outline, write, edit, and proofread materials, including media advisories, pitch letters/emails, biographies, reports, and fact sheets.
- Assist with research, including analysis of media coverage and online conversations, and use media list building tools and clipping services.
- Coordinate projects and events, including inviting media, preparing press kits, attending events, and preparing reports.
- Build a network of traditional and online media contacts and provide administrative support for the team.
- Record and submit time, expenses, and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis and notify the supervisor of any potential cost overruns.
- Follow all Edelman financial policies and procedures and participate in the new business process, including research, audits, and proposal prep.
- Contribute to the performance appraisal process for peers and managers, oversee interns on projects, and understand internal operations and inter-team cooperation.
- Previous internship experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including research, advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Communications, PR) from an accredited college or university.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines, and assignments.
- Solid knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Demonstrates strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams.
