Building & Pest Inspector Role Summary

As a Building & Pest Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled building and pest inspections, identifying defects, safety hazards, and compliance issues. You will provide detailed reports with practical recommendations, helping to ensure the safety, integrity, and compliance of homes – particularly during real estate transactions, renovations, and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled building and pest inspections
  • Identify defects, safety hazards, and compliance issues
  • Provide detailed reports with practical recommendations
  • Help ensure the safety, integrity, and compliance of homes
Requirements:
  • MUST BE a Registered/Licensed Builder
  • MUST HAVE Completed Residential Building Inspections course
  • Completed (or is on the way to completing) the following timber pest units:
    • CPPUPM3008 – Inspect for and Report on Timber Pests
    • CPPUPM3010 – Control Timber Pests
  • Proven experience as a Building & Pest Inspector, Registered/Licensed Builder, or Licensed Pest Technician
  • Physically capable of inspecting sub-floors, roof spaces, and external roofs
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, organised and results-driven
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Police check and valid driver's licence with access to a reliable vehicle required
