The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly ambitious Strategic Financial Analyst to join our team at Perigon Group. This role offers a unique opportunity to business partner with non-finance stakeholders and drive financial growth.

The Role

As a Strategic Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial analysis of clients and jobs, including profitability
  • Ownership of client portfolio, from budget management to invoicing
  • Accurate customer P&L forecasting
  • Overheads and expense analysis and reporting
  • Support, mentor, and provide financial and analytical guidance to the account management team and other finance team members
  • Driving efficient month-end and year-end reporting
  • Provide business metrics and analysis to enable sound business decision-making
  • Develop and maintain appropriate financial reports, policies, and procedures, including process analysis for improvements and reporting innovation
  • Finance system improvement and continually improving analytical tools
  • Risk management - regular review of existing systems, procedures, and processes
  • Continually assess business processes for cost optimization and revenue maximization

About You

This role will suit a highly ambitious individual, ready to go into a newly created role, challenge the status quo, and make it their own.

This role would suit someone who:

  • CPA/CA qualified or in process, or intention of starting (study leave provided)
  • Circa 12 months experience in a similar role or an experienced assistant or financial accountant looking for a step across into a commercial role
  • Is an exceptional communicator and has a natural flair in influencing stakeholders at all levels with strong interpersonal skills
