Job Overview:

This role involves leading strategic procurement initiatives to drive value and improve business processes. As a key member of the procurement team, you will develop and execute category plans that align with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic sourcing plans to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Lead benchmarking and competitor analysis to optimize procurement processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain accurate contract registers and support commercial governance
  • Identify and implement process improvements to shift procurement from reactive to planned
  • Manage third-party and ESG risks by implementing supplier diversity initiatives, sustainability targets, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with regulatory requirements and identify opportunities for improvement
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in strategic procurement or related field
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
  • Strong understanding of category planning, process improvement, and benchmarking techniques
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and deliver proactive business partnering
  • Experience interpreting procurement data (e.g., spend, contracts, vendor performance)
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and driven to build structure and strategy into everyday practices
