About the Role

  • This position drives patient flow, innovation, and system performance during a major hospital redevelopment.
  • You will lead a team in delivering initiatives that enhance patient experience and outcomes, improve access to care through efficient flow and discharge planning, support alternative care models and innovative service delivery, and embed sustainable improvement aligned with our hospital's strategic goals.

As a senior leader, you will coach and mentor staff, drive redesign and improvement projects, and ensure our services meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and care processes.
  • Lead a dedicated team in delivering initiatives that enhance patient experience and outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor staff to drive redesign and improvement projects.
  • Evaluate and improve system performance across John Hunter Hospital.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic leader with a strong background in nursing management, project delivery, and clinical redesign. You should thrive in complex, high-volume environments and be able to balance strategic vision with operational excellence. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential for influencing change and delivering measurable results.
