Student Support Specialist Job Summary:

This key role involves providing high-quality support to students, promoting their academic success and overall well-being throughout their studies.

The Role:

As the primary point of contact for online and off-site students, you will act as a guide and mentor, helping them navigate their student-learning journey and overcome any challenges they may face.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to students, responding promptly to their queries and concerns
  • Managing student progression, including issuing work placement packs, resolving complaints and issues, and encouraging re-enrolment
  • Meeting and exceeding targets related to stakeholder engagement and student outcomes
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with departmental standards
  • Effectively using systems such as CRM, VETtrak, and LMS to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in customer-facing or service-oriented roles, with a strong focus on delivering excellent results
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Student Management Systems (e.g. VETtrak) is highly desirable, as is previous experience in the RTO/education sector
