Education Support Specialist Opportunity

The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, promoting their participation and achievement in the school environment.

This role involves acting as a liaison between the community and the school to develop an education program that meets both educational and cultural needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing individualized support and guidance to students to ensure their engagement and success in the school environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers to implement culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Supporting the development of an education program that reflects the cultural and educational needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Being an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holding a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • Obtaining a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
  • Consenting to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtaining a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
