
Facilities Planning Specialist

An experienced Infrastructure Advisor is required to provide expert advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management, staff, and the wider community.
The successful candidate will play a key part in providing strategic advice on facilities planning, investment, and asset management, as well as coordinating with regional facilities teams, the Infrastructure Services Division, and external providers to deliver a range of facilities services.
In this role, you will collaborate across teams and agencies to provide field-based facility support services, prepare ministerial responses, reports, and briefing materials, and ensure business practices and processes align with divisional standards and directions.
You will also manage and monitor delivery of capital works, maintenance, and facilities services to scope, budget, and quality requirements, advise senior officers on facilities planning and asset management matters, conduct and report on operational audits of physical assets, and support and participate in the professional development of regional staff.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Proven experience in facilities planning, asset management, or infrastructure delivery within a complex organization (public sector or education sector experience highly regarded).
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and agencies.
- A Blue card.
- Demonstrated capability in managing projects to scope, budget, and timeframes.
- High-level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare quality reports and ministerial briefings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on practical solutions.
- A commitment to high-quality customer service and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
