Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on infrastructure planning and management. Your role will involve coordinating with regional teams, external providers, and other stakeholders to deliver a range of facilities services.

You will work closely with our senior officers to advise on facilities planning and asset management matters, as well as conduct operational audits of physical assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality facilities advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management, staff, and the wider community.
  • Offer strategic advice, information, and support on facilities planning, investment, and asset management.
  • Coordinate with regional facilities teams, the Infrastructure Services Division, and external providers to deliver a broad range of facilities services.
  • Collaborate across teams and agencies to provide field-based facility support services.
  • Prepare ministerial responses, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Ensure business practices and processes align with divisional standards and directions.
  • Manage and monitor delivery of capital works, maintenance, and facilities services to scope, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Advise senior officers on a wide range of facilities planning and asset management matters.
  • Conduct and report on operational audits of physical assets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilities planning, asset management, or infrastructure delivery within a complex organization (public sector or education sector experience highly regarded).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and agencies.
  • Blue card required.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing projects to scope, budget, and timeframes.
  • High-level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare quality reports and ministerial briefings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on practical solutions.
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
