Role Overview

As an Infrastructure Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and consultancy services to schools and educational facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the infrastructure needs of these institutions are met, supporting education across Queensland.

Main Responsibilities
  • Facilities Planning – Provide high-quality, client-focused advice and support on facilities planning, investment, and asset management.
  • Project Coordination – Coordinate with regional facilities teams, the Infrastructure Services Division, and external providers to deliver a broad range of facilities services.
  • Collaboration and Support – Collaborate across teams and agencies to provide field-based facility support services, ensuring business practices and processes align with divisional standards and directions.
  • Operational Audits – Conduct and report on operational audits of physical assets, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Professional Development – Support and participate in the professional development of regional staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge in facilities management.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience – Proven experience in facilities planning, asset management, or infrastructure delivery within a complex organization, preferably in the public sector or education sector.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and agencies.
  • Blue Card – Blue card required for this position.
  • Project Management – Demonstrated capability in managing projects to scope, budget, and timeframes.
  • Communication Skills – High-level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare quality reports and briefing materials.
