About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and managing daily freight manifests. This includes ensuring all shipments are correctly documented in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manifest Preparation:
    • Accurately prepare daily freight manifests
    • Ensure all shipments are correctly documented
    • Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure manifests are updated and accurate
  • Data Entry:
    • Input data related to shipments
    • Maintain and update records of incoming and outgoing shipments
    • Verify and correct data discrepancies in the system
  • Dangerous Goods (DG) Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with DG regulations
    • Review and maintain DG paperwork for accuracy and compliance
    • Coordinate with drivers and the DG compliance team to resolve any issues
  • Pallet Control:
    • Monitor pallet movements and maintain accurate records
    • Reconcile pallet accounts with customers and suppliers
    • Update consignments to reflect hire pallets
    • Ensure efficient pallet returns
  • Driver Debrief:
    • Conduct debrief sessions with drivers
    • Collect and verify driver paperwork
    • Address any discrepancies or issues raised during debriefs

Required Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience in a data entry or manifesting role is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and logistics software systems is required. A high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping is essential.

Additional Requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with drivers, team members, and management. Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and efficiently is also required.
