We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health Safety Specialist to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real difference in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and controlling all activities under their influence to ensure they meet the Health, Safety, Environment, and quality expectations of our clients while delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating Primero HSE procedures and legislative requirements on site in accordance with project-specific HSE Management Plans;
- Conducting daily HSE inspections and observations on site;
- Delivering HSE topics in weekly toolbox sessions and daily pre-start meetings;
- Assisting with fitness for work requirements and daily welfare checks;
- Coaching and guiding Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) in their legislative HSE requirements;
- Providing support and guidance to employees in creating risk assessments (JHA's, Permits);
To be successful in this role, you will possess a Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety (minimum requirement), a minimum of 3+ years' experience in the construction industry, demonstrated site experience in a similar role, and current Provide First Aid / CPR certification.
This is a site-based, hands-on position that requires a strong understanding of HSE principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, paid parental leave, health and wellbeing support, benefits, and discounts.
