About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team as a Health and Safety Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to our personnel on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial and ongoing treatment of injuries and illnesses of personnel on site, including assisting with injury management and rehabilitation
  • Operate the Site's ambulances, managing and transporting injured personnel as needed
  • Develop and maintain treatment procedures, protocols, and accident/incident databases to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with local medical service providers, hospitals, RFDS, and ambulance services to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Conduct skills maintenance training for Emergency Response Team members to enhance their capabilities
  • Perform drug and alcohol testing as required, upholding our commitment to a safe working environment
About You

This role would suit a motivated health professional looking for an opportunity to support and educate people in site health and safety. To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Immunisation Certificate, and HLTPAT005 Drugs of Abuse Testing
  • A current and valid C-class manual Driver's Licence
  • Previous experience working in emergency or remote area nursing roles
  • A working knowledge of Injury Management and Rehabilitation practices and procedures
  • The ability to work autonomously, aligning with site medical guidelines
  • An approved Audiometric Officers Certificate and the ability to conduct spirometry testing (desirable)
