Key Position

A dynamic leader is sought to drive operational excellence across our Concrete & Aggregates and Masonry divisions.

This senior role will work closely with our technical and operations team to ensure our divisions operate in accordance with best practice guidelines. The successful candidate will lead a value-adding operational excellence program that delivers agreed improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and support to regional concrete & aggregates and masonry technical teams.
  • Lead and drive the ISO9001 management system to ensure it delivers value and consistent quality.
  • Establish and implement best practice quality guidelines for Concrete & Aggregates and Masonry divisions related to inspection and test plans, batching controls, mix design and optimisation, contract review processes, adoption of QEST, and training materials.
  • Identify and drive key improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and improve product quality.
  • Measure, monitor, track, and report progress against agreed improvement opportunities ensuring timely delivery of operational excellence objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten years' experience in a technical role within the construction materials industry.
  • Engineering or materials science degree highly regarded but not essential.
  • Proven experience managing a continuous improvement program is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of QEST - Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Australian Standards, Infrastructure Specifications, and Low Carbon Concrete guidelines with ability to contribute to ongoing refinement and development.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly analytical interpreting trends in data and reporting on opportunities for improvement and non-conformances.
  • Commercially savvy identifying and optimising products and processes delivering tangible business outcomes.
