Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive clinical governance strategy aligned with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards.
2. Provide leadership and technical expertise in risk management, quality improvement, and accreditation processes.
3. Foster collaboration among clinicians, staff, and executive teams to drive innovation and best practices.
4. Analyze incident trends, develop improvement actions, and evaluate interventions for enhanced patient care.
5. Liaise with external bodies, including Safer Care Victoria and the Coroner's Office, on safety and quality matters.
6. Oversee multi-disciplinary incident review processes and lead investigation and analysis efforts.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. Unrestricted nursing AHPRA registration and current experience in clinical governance or quality programs.
2. Strong leadership skills, enabling effective communication and team engagement.
3. Demonstrated expertise in clinical safety systems, root cause analysis, and case review investigations.
4. Knowledge of the NSQHS standards and contemporary clinical risk management principles.
5. Highly developed analytical and numeric skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands.
6. Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements and reporting responsibilities to external governing bodies.

Salary
This role comes with an estimated annual salary of $140,000 - $180,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
