Clinical Governance Manager

A highly sought-after opportunity has become available for a talented Clinical Governance Manager to join our team at Bupa ADH Health Service Contract (ADFHS) Risk, Governance and Quality Assurance. This role will be based from one of our office locations in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane, with the option to work from home when not in the office.
As our ideal candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ADFHS Clinical Governance, including Subcontractor management, data entry and data quality, and Bupa and Defence clinical and risk reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all operational aspects of clinical governance activities are delivered, including leadership, development, management, and implementation of effective clinical governance through compliance with Bupa policies, relevant legislation, regulation agencies, and work instructions.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
• Acting as a subject matter expert regarding general clinical governance requirements and promoting a culture that enables staff to understand and comply with quality, clinical risk, and patient safety guidelines to meet relevant accreditation standards including ACSQHC NSQHS, ISO:9001, and other relevant industry standards
• Responsibility for team governance, quality assurance, and process improvement activities to ensure effective team operations including workload balancing, clinical governance, and risk reporting
• Controlling key clinical governance procedures and policies including the clinical governance plan and coordinating clinical support to the service delivery team
• Coordinating enhancements to key governance systems including Protecht and Microsoft Dynamics that contribute to the efficiency of the team and drive insights into quality improvement activities
• Undertaking and completing detailed analysis and reporting of data obtained from clinical governance activities including contributions to internal and external reports
• Ensuring business alignment and adherence to industry standards and requirements within the Bupa clinical governance, risk management, and compliance framework
As a successful candidate, you will have:
What you need to succeed:
• Health Professional/allied health practitioner with extensive experience in Clinical Governance, Quality, and Risk Management
• Post Graduate qualifications or working towards i.e., Quality Management, Health Administration, Clinical Governance, or similar
• Demonstrated capacity to support and lead quality and compliance function
• Demonstrated ability to build and refine service delivery and clinical governance processes
• Proven ability to develop and implement frameworks, drive outcomes, and ultimately deliver programs of work
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning/thinking ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders to work in partnership with service delivery teams to achieve outcomes
• Experience implementing organisational wide quality improvement initiatives and influencing teams in building a high-quality improvement culture
