Job Title: Cost Manager

Job Overview:

The cost manager will play a pivotal role in the project controls team by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of baseline funding and budget performance reporting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the integrity of the cost management system for precise and up-to-date information
  • Providing regular forecasts to meet reporting deadlines
  • Monitoring and analyzing commitments and actuals for accuracy and consistency
  • Offering insightful cost variance analysis and commentary
  • Ensuring compliance with established program controls procedures and processes
  • Developing and implementing effective cost control systems
  • Managing project budgets on behalf of the delivery team
  • Nurturing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducting variance analysis and advising the project controls lead on financial risks and suitable solutions

To succeed in this position, applicants will need:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in project controls
  • Demonstrated ability and functional knowledge of cost control tools, including Prism and Excel; Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
  • Experience in large financial systems such as Oracle, SAP or Ci Financials
  • Strong technical competence in cost control, tracking, and reporting
  • Ability to interpret cost and schedule data for forecasting purposes
  • Capacity to work effectively in diverse cultural teams

Requirements Summary:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing cost-related projects. Experience working with project controls software and financial systems is essential.
