Our Serviceheadspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.
On Offer Based in Ipswich, QLDFixed-term, part-time (0.6 FTE) opportunity until 30/06/2026 Paying on HPSS Level 3 plus Super Salary Packaging options (up to $15,899 tax free)Meals and entertainment allowance of up to $2,650Leave loading at 17.5%Stride Rewards – access to discounts from 100s of retailers (fashion, food and fitness)One paid wellbeing leave day per year Supportive team environment Excellent training and career development The Opportunity We are seeking a vibrant and passionate clinician with experience delivering mental health interventions to young people and their families and friends to join our supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The headspace Youth Counsellor will be: Responsible for the development of collaborative individual care plans and the delivery of brief to medium-term therapeutic interventions to young people aged 12 to 25 years and their parents and carers.
Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other clinicians within the program to plan and develop services for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns.
Required to provide evidence based, best practice psychological interventions, participate in clinical reviews and quality assurance processes, attend business and professional development meetings and contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships.
Participate as a member of the mental health team in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, case coordination, intervention or group work as required; with specific responsibility to provide evidence-based psychological interventions to a case load of young people Requirements Must have one of the following: General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse OR Social Worker with AASW registration/eligibility OR Counsellor with Level 3 ACA registration or PACFA registration as a Clinical Member.
Demonstrated highly competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice.
Demonstrated comprehensive level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill; with specific experience in the provision of evidence-based psychological therapies.
Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team utilising comprehensive communication skills to establish effective partnerships and provide consultation to the team as well as external service providers.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the professional development of self and others through education, professional networking and application of evidence-based practice.
Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance Stride is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable people.
