About the Role
  • As a Registered Nurse Team Leader, you will oversee a small nursing division, working closely with the CEO to manage nursing rosters, provide clinical guidance to nursing staff, and oversee the clinical needs of our disability programs.

In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on both clinical and business operations due to our organization's smaller size. You will be responsible for attending to community nursing clients, performing tasks such as wound care, providing staff training, and conducting comprehensive assessments.

This role requires a high level of autonomy, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Providing community-based nursing care face-to-face
  • Completing assessments and clinical reviews
  • Assisting with rostering and scheduling
  • Being proactive with the health status of clients
  • Advocating for clients
  • Delivering education and training for support staff
  • Managing clinical consumables
  • Attending stakeholder meetings and building relationships with multidisciplinary teams
  • Supporting a small team of nurses and ensuring high-quality care is delivered
  • Handling day-to-day operations, including staff management, incident reporting, and WHS compliance
  • De-escalating challenging behaviors when required
  • Coordinating appointments and client schedules
  • Providing ongoing support, inductions, and training for new and existing staff
  • Supporting business operations as needed
Requirements
  • AHPR Registered Nurse qualification
  • Ability to drive in a large catchment area, with a work vehicle provided
  • Willingness to assist with remote working on-call phone schedule
  • Experience in managing complex care, particularly for individuals with brain injuries and spinal injuries
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
