Job Description

This RPN position is a clinical role responsible for delivering exceptional patient care under the direction of the Associate Nurse Manager and Nurse Manager. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide holistic nursing care to patients and their families during crisis and transition periods of their mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with Monash Health's strategic guiding principles.
  • Work effectively with young people, related services, and their families within the multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health.
  • Current clinical mental health nursing experience.
  • An advocate of Monash Health's Strategic Guiding Principles.
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.

The Oasis Child Neuropsychiatry Inpatient Unit is a purpose-built unit located within the Monash Children's Hospital. Our team provides specialist assessment and care planning for children aged up to 12 years with neurodevelopmental disorders or severe psychiatric symptoms. We pride ourselves on being a centre for excellence with an active clinical and research program that integrates knowledge from various medical specialties.
