About the Role
The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of consumers who are experiencing significant mental health issues and associated psychosocial difficulties. The role involves providing evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions, as well as secondary consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic, cognitive, and personality assessments.
- Develop and implement behaviour support plans and other management plans as required.
- Provide supervision to Grade 2 psychologists and students on placement.
- Identify and refer to appropriate ongoing psychological support as part of discharge planning.
- Actively participate in own supervision and professional development.
What You Need To Succeed:
- Degree-qualified psychologist with experience in adult mental health.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
