We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in delivering strategic improvement projects, developing and maintaining expert knowledge across student systems and supporting infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and experience leading a team.
- They will be responsible for conducting requirements analysis, determining configuration changes, managing testing and implementation of major system upgrades, and enabling front-line student systems support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of data elements, student systems, supporting platforms, and business processes.
- System Changes: Consult on and implement system changes in response to complex scenarios, including analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring for other members of the Systems Support team.
- Leadership: Contribute to the leadership of the Systems Support team.
Requirements:
- Tech Savvy: Strong fluency in technology platforms and a deep understanding of contemporary IT protocols and operating environments.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading a team, including the ability to influence without authority, to develop people and team cultures.
- Analytical Skills: High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: High-level oral and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Effective organisation, planning, and coordination skills to manage multiple priorities across systems, budget, people, reporting, project, and strategic priorities.
