We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at SkyPoint, the iconic Gold Coast destination renowned for its breathtaking views and exceptional events. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a talented kitchen team, ensuring seamless execution of our menu offerings and maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menu strategies, perfecting every dish from event menus to daily delights.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring efficient and profitable service delivery, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining our HACCP System and associated policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain our 5-star Eat Safe rating.
- Trade Chef qualification and Food Safety Supervisor certificate, with at least two years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health & Safety and HACCP food safety practices and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
- Advanced knowledge in food costing, budget management, and cost control.
- Success in creating and maintaining high standards of excellence in food preparation and presentation.
