Key responsibilities include:

  • Case management with manageable caseloads and rehabilitation assistants for administrative support;", "
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;", "
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees;", "
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;", "
  • Working across various schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;", "
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;", "
  • Completing assessments using clinical skills, including but not limited to initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.", "

As a rehabilitation consultant, you will be a driven professional with a tertiary qualification in psychology, health sciences or rehabilitation counselling. You will have general or provisional registration with AHPRA as a psychologist or eligibility for associate or full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors. Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded.
